Ancient dragons forever voyage crosses into times stream.
In, out, breath fades, trees return to idleness. Scales part
from skin, drift down on the azure flows. Skeleton crashes
into ground, sea scatters over the land. Wraith bone mountains
rise in the south. The fish swim as they always did.

Ancient Dragon an homage to Satoshi Kamiya and his many beyond great dragon folds.

Love this poem
It is all so amazing to think of life on this planet, and better when described through your poetic eyes, Skyraftwanderer.

Something about everything returning to the earth…returning to normal…even a big event (like – drain) eventually dies away leaving the earth turning just as it always has….I actually found this comforting…
I meant- like a dragon! Not a drain!! stupid autocorrect
Good old fish! (Only it’s not working so well for them now.) Still a wonderful poem. k.
amidst it, the fish still swim as they always do…and compared to the vividness of the rest. i find that comfrotingly ironic…smiles.
i love that last line as well, the idea that some things remain the same. also, the image of seas scattering really captured me. dragons! i’ve had them on the brain recently, myself.
Perfect art for this vivid, magical poem, Sky! I just love it…:))
the fish cannot move above their programming…we react, but they don’t. so as we read it and react, the fish don’t. nice contrast.
