Ghost Towns

Dotted throughout the desert are the towns it as devoured. Some are buried beneath the tides of sand but others remain on the surface as hollowed out shells. The wooden constructs, once proud oaken shades of brown are now weathered, blasted by sand, deathly pale white wooden hulks indistinguishable from the sand. Destitute with beams fallen from roofs and walls which have been fractured over time they still provide shelter for native wildlife, foolish travelers and outlaws who cannot return to society.
