Colours (Poem)

Video uploaded by user K1982J

Void filled with emptiness
desert of non-being
without definition and dimension.

Silent. Still.
Then a flicker, a dot
of white
in the depths
stable – then quivers
alabaster wave
coruscates in all directions
before fading
into darkness.

In its wake
faint, distant
flickers, pulses, flashes
of colours
solidify, define
on the abyssal plain

playing in the void.

Wisp of yellow
dances, twists
leaving amber trails
that slowly diffuse

into clouds of
looms of aimless drift
caught on stellar updrafts

twist into
azure spirals
sky blue pin wheels
twirling against
infinite blackness

as viridian threads
entwine themselves
in the
luminescent orchestra
of colour

shadowed by
indigo flurries
zipping in and out
of imponderable hollows

as blinking flares
rear up, expand
into crimson spirals
torrents of
kinetic effulgence
send fragments
spinning off

as terra flares
hurtling through formless fathoms
conflagrant arcs
scattered by
the azure spirals

into pink fractures
forming nebulous
clouds that linger
before being tied together
by viridian threads

as the indigo flurries
continue their
ballet amongst
the symposium of chroma

darting between
the glows and hue
iridescence and shades
as the

white wave

the cosmic light fantastic.

In the blackness
the yellow wisp
somehow remains
dancing and twisting
wrapping its
amber trail in knots
drawing a blazing stream
in the void.

This has been in the works for a while and I have only now figured out how to do it. It might not be good but its a labour of love for me and I do love it. Feedback welcomed as well. The set of poems before this were test runs in some cases. And I love the piece of music at the top of the page and it helped me to visualize this.
