One year of blogging

Or how I learned to stop worrying and love poetry.

I had intended to do a big post about this, but I lost the urge for that. Maybe it’s just the way I don’t do celebrations or anniversary things well (like birthdays for example) but I’ll just say this:

February 16th, 2011. The date I posted my first poem. Never thought poetry would win out in my writing, but there you go. Pretty odd for a blog whose intention was to review music.

Also, I just want to thank everyone who subscribes, clicks, reads, comments, likes and what ever else you can do with a blog. A thousand thank you’s to each of you. And hugs. And this:

God I love that dog.

To finish this, here’s the Grateful Dead to sing us out:

“Sometimes the light’s all shining on me
Other times I can barely see
Lately it occurs to me
what a long strange trip it’s been”

Wow, it’s been a year. I can’t believe it my friend. Your work is so awesome and it’s been such a kick to see the direction that you’re taking. And that dog just rocks. He really does want you to know that you’re awesome.

    • Yup. One year.

And you’ve been there for most of it. Can’t tell you how much that means. All the feedback, suggestions and support. It’s been monstrous. And still remember your first comment (after I liked your blog – by chance (god bless serendipity)). It was comment number seven, and you said you’d come back. And you did. Again and again.

Really, this would not have been the same without you. You’re one amazing, wonderful, glorious friend and a thousand thank you’s to you. And a giant hug. Like across the Atlantic giant.

And yeah, that dog is the best. Taking his/her time to remind everyone of how awesome they are. That’s a hero right there.
