The exact size of the desert of forever is unknown. No one has ever crossed it though, Many have tried and their remains are scattered through the desert sands. It’s as much a grave yard as a body of sand. Stretching out for miles in all directions the desert appears to go on forever, hence the name given to it by the locals. Seemingly existing in a state of perpetual lifelessness, the desert has grown in over time, swallowing up frontier towns and cities, lakes and oceans, thriving communities transformed into spectral towns, aquatic habitats reduced to desiccated collections of whale and fish bones, by unremitting waves of sand.
Some beings do exist in the desert but it is a harsh existence often chosen by circumstance rather than choice. But this harsh existence is beneficial to some.
This will be a series of shorts about the Desert of Forever and the things contained within it.
